The recognition, awarded by the region’s leading investment analysts, highlights ARAUCO’s strategic leadership during a period of transformation for the forestry industry.

Fastmarkets, the leading price reporting agency for commodities, as well as a provider of market news and analysis, has named Cristián Infante of ARAUCO as Latin America CEO of the Year 2026. The award will be presented during the annual Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference, taking place in Brazil from August 10 to 12.

The recognition is granted by the region’s leading investment analysts and portfolio managers specializing in the Latin American forestry sector. It reflects both ARAUCO’s strong financial performance and its long-term strategic vision amid a challenging global environment.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the analysts who know this industry best and who acknowledge the path we have chosen. More than an achievement, however, I see it as a responsibility: to continue strengthening ARAUCO’s long-term position and to live up to the expectations that the market has placed in us,” said Infante.

A key factor behind this recognition is the Sucuriú Project, currently being developed by ARAUCO in Brazil. The initiative has been met with strong optimism by the market, with analysts viewing it as a decisive step toward consolidating ARAUCO’s position among the world’s leading pulp suppliers and reinforcing the company’s capacity for sustained long-term growth.

The award will be presented in São Paulo on August 11 during a special session in which Infante will share his perspective on the future of the industry and ARAUCO’s global growth strategy.

The Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference is the forestry industry’s leading annual forum in Latin America, bringing together more than 400 executives from over 30 countries, including producers, investors, processors, and service providers across the pulp, paper, and packaging ecosystem.
