The recognition, awarded by the region’s leading investment analysts, highlights Arauco’s strategic leadership during a time of transformation for the forestry industry.

Fastmarkets, a leading agency in price reporting, news, and market analysis for commodities, named Cristián Infante of Arauco as the 2026 Latin American CEO of the Year. The executive received the distinction today during the annual Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference, held between August 10 and 12 in Brazil.

The recognition was awarded by leading investment analysts and portfolio managers in the region specializing in Latin America’s forestry sector. It incorporates both Arauco’s solid financial performance and its long-term strategic vision amidst a challenging global context.

“It is an honor that the analysts who know this industry best recognize the path we have charted. But more than an achievement, I see it as a responsibility: to continue projecting Arauco’s solidity over time and to live up to the market’s expectations of us,” stated Infante.

The Sucuriú Project, being developed by Arauco in Brazil, featured prominently in this recognition as an initiative received by the market with remarkable optimism. Analysts consider it a decisive step toward consolidating Arauco among the world’s leading pulp suppliers, reinforcing the company’s capacity for sustained long-term expansion.

The award was presented today in São Paulo during a special session where Infante shared his vision on the future of the industry and Arauco’s global growth strategy.

The Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference is the premier annual forum for the forestry industry in Latin America, bringing together more than 400 executives from over 30 countries, including producers, investors, processors, and service providers across the pulp, paper, and packaging ecosystem.
