This listening experience, available on Spotify, is an invitation to explore the magic of 13 species and understand that the value they bring to our ecosystem is priceless.

Imagine a journey through the Chilean forests, where trees come to life and tell you their story in person. Would you like to live the experience of recognizing each one of them?

ARAUCO invites you to be part of “Voices of the Forest,” an immersive sound initiative that aims to raise awareness of the history and value of 13 species of trees found in Chile’s forests.

This innovative experience, now available on Spotify, has entertaining stories narrated by prominent national actors, in order to give people the opportunity to learn about the important contribution that these trees make to national ecosystems and invite them to protect and care for them.

Each tree has its own story, its own life, and unique experiences. These stories are narrated by renowned actors, who bring each tree to life with their talent and passion. In addition, the stories are accompanied by characteristic sounds of each species, immersing us in the rich sounds of our forests. Among the outstanding performers participating in “Voices of the Forest” are Marcelo Alonso (Alerce), María Izquierdo (Laurel), Amaya Forch (Olivillo), Ricardo Fernández (Ulmo), Angela Prieto (Luma), Tita Iacobelli (Ruil), Néstor Cantillana (Coihue), Paulina García (Araucanía), Marcial Tagle (Tineo), Alvaro Espinoza (Quelue), César Sepúlveda (Eucalyptus), Cristián Campos (Roble) and Roberto Poblete (Pino insigne).

“We know that forests play a fundamental role in our planet, hosting 75% of global biodiversity and, therefore, are our main allies against climate change. In this sense, through the “Voices of the Forest” project we seek to provide people with greater knowledge and appreciation for our country’s biodiversity, and to raise awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving these valuable natural resources,” said Juan Anzieta, ARAUCO’s Environmental Manager.

As part of its climate action strategy and understanding that the loss of nature has accelerated dramatically, the renewable resources company is committed to becoming a Nature Positive company, that is, a company with a positive impact on the planet. In this line, ARAUCO works to preserve 142 endangered species in the landscapes where it has a presence and continues to advance in its commitment to restore 35,000 hectares of native forest, in addition to maintaining and expanding a network of 167 areas of high conservation value, covering more than 60,000 hectares.

“At ARAUCO, we are committed to protecting and caring for forests and their biodiversity. The magnitude of the climate crisis motivates us to work every day to preserve ecosystem values. With this project, our goal is to raise awareness and promote a deep love and respect for the tree species that surround us, understanding that humanity is inextricably linked to nature,” added Anzieta.
